I started this journey in the most unlikely of places. At the time I had been working in Finance, grinding away. My goal was always to try entrepreneurship...so I got to work. I tested out business idea after business idea until one day I was travelling through Mexico and found an amazing Tequila. They didn't have it at the LCBO! Logically...I decided to import it. And that was the beginning of my journey in the alcohol beverage business. 

 

After years of selling someone else's product on the side, while still working a full time job in Finance I decided to come up with my own brand. And so Green Owl Vodka was born. The world's first Green Tea infused Vodka sweetened with Honey. I applied to the LCBO (the second largest purchaser of alcohol in the world) not expecting to get in...there were after all hundreds of submissions from brands all around the world, with HUGE budgets. With no connections or experience in the industry I surly wasn't going to get in on the first try....WRONG. 

 

I was selected. And it was crazy. 

 

From there my passion for the industry was ignited. I couldn't stop at just vodka. As I was getting older I came to realize my interests changed. And so did my drinking habits. The days of partying 3-4x a week were gone. I grew to enjoy beautiful cocktails and on occasion mocktails. I came to be ok telling people I was booze free on certain nights. It was strange though...even though so many people were like me now "sober curious" mocktails still just weren't on the same playing field as cocktails. 

 

So I set out to change that. 

 

I created High Pony because I wanted the best bar experience right at home. Something beautiful, elegant and easy. I wanted the non-drinkers or the sober curious people of the world to feel like they too were having a great experience. 

 

I decided to make our drinks lower sugar and lower calorie. If people are drinking better, and sometimes drinking less, they shouldn't have to have a lot of sugar in their drinks. They probably also care about their health. 

 

This product took 3 years of recipe development. In a world where most brands slap something together quickly, put it in a can, using low quality ingredients I was and will always be, committed to excellence. I am so proud and happy to bring this to the world. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
